Not sure if you're referring to Gay's but despite being on the 'wrong side' of the brook they seem to be one of the shops in Dawlish that does really well. Often there's queues outside for their cream teas, pasties and (I understand) cheesy Steves! They must be doing something right!
They have some hope for that to happen. If the play park was to go ahead, how many extra people would it attract to the lawn/town over those that already use it now? Pie in the sky if you ask me.
Not to worry. A playpark will sort things out. (and I have resisted and resisted posting that until I could resist it no longer)
