from the Express & Echo Monday, February 21, 2011, 11:00 Independents call RESIDENTS of Dawlish who are unhappy with the town council's performance are being invited to fight the forthcoming elections as independents. Meetings are planned, on Thursday, March 3, starting at 2pm, and Tuesday, March 8, starting at 7.30pm. Both events will be at the Manor House.

I am all for the local community and economy supporting itself. Would the chocolate and sweets to be found in the locally owned sweet shop sited on The Strand be made locally or by nationals? All for locals rather than nationals but might there be a marketing argument that to have a small but national outlet chain store in the town (M&S Simply Food for example?) might be a way of getting people ...

PLEASE NOTE everthing must be Closed by 10.30 so as not to disturb the Crinkles and tent dwellers. You missed out the babies and the children and all those others who have no wish whatsover to be subject to other people's noise pollution after a reasonable time at night.

One night out of 365 is one night too many for me with the noise that it was making. You wonder why the police turned up? They'd received god knows how many complaints about it I expect.
