Hi there, hope you are planning to do some cooking demos here in Dawlish? I understand the Red Rock has kitchens set up. It would be nice to have something here, similar to the cookering classes in Ashburton. I know people from London who come down for those.
I did think the meat auctioning was a bit off and didn't really fit in with the idea of the street market. Did Lloyd Maunders organise it?
@J Warrener - and this makes it really difficult for those applying for a blue badge. I recently went through the procedure with an elderly family member who is wheelchair bound outside the home. They actually turned him down first time, even though it takes him anywhere up to half an hour to actually get out the car and into the wheelchair. Wouldn't it be easier if all parking was free on Sundays leading up to Christmas irrespective of what council looked after it? You almost feel like the traffic wardens are waiting rubbing their hands in anticipation of some poor sod getting it wrong.

It might not have been her blue badge. The blue badge is owned by the person with a disability and they do not necessarily have a car.
Most of the shops I did use for presents closed or became something else, Woolies, Davidsons, Trader. Still use the Vivien Gallery though.
Had a day off today and finally made it into the Exeter for lunch with my husband. Both really enjoyed the food (steak and curry) and the lovely relaxed atmosphere. Great to finally get somewhere within walking distance that we like in Dawlish.
