I beg to differ re your statement that nothing ever happens here. Take a glance at the Events section of this website for a small selection. Or pop into the library or TIC and have a look at the folders in there that advertise events in the town and surrounds.

Peppermint Park and Golden Sands are now one site under the name of Golden Sands. You can definitely walk and drive (and cycle!) from Exeter Road to Beach Road through the site.
