@Lesley, we've had good quality delis, wool shops and fishmongers - all gone. There's just not enough business to stay open.

Families will still buy a copy for the misplaced articles although I may think again if it's going to be a mouthpiece for spite. I understand the Teignmouth programme is cheaper - is it any better/worse - are there any tips Dawlish could use? I also wonder if it's advertised in the camps?
Apart from the terrible print layout what an awful set of things to put on the pages of the carnival. I've just bought a copy for the kids and will rip that page out. How pathetic. So there you are people, if you're not Dawlish 'born and bred' you're not welcome to have an opinion - wow that'll impress the holiday makers ... Ms Farley wants to grow up and learn to cooperate with people.
Jeremy Hunt went to Charterhouse where mandarin was on the curriculum. Why didn't he pay more attention?
No, Lynne, as long as the government continue to leave loopholes in the law. They won't close them, it'll affect them and their pals. Don't blame consumers for trying to get the best deal for themselves. If you dig hard enough you can't find dirt on most companies. Let's not buy anything from anyone.
They get away with it because there are so many people desperate for work and will work for that money. I know of plenty of people whose contract hours are less than that are working more than they should be to keep their jobs.
There's a services section, why not use that? https://www.dawlish.com/group?grouptypeid=3
Rosemary, it might also be worth putting a message on Eye of Dawlish if you are on Facebook.
FB is correct; the street lights are turned off after midnight to save money (energy). There has been plenty of mention of this in the local papers so it's hardly local gossip.
