Mughead, Unfortunately they can once they have registered with the DVLA and are licenced they pay DVLA for your details, they - DVLA - make about £2,500.000 a year from selling details which I and many others think is the wrong thing for them to be able to do. Its about time the government took action, but dont hold your breath

I wonder how many people have been ripped off by private land parking tickets: ie; Asda, tesco, morrisions etc; when if they ignored all the threatening letters and do not reply to any of them they will go away. These private companies have no legal standing, the clampers are now producing parking tickets ready for when clamping on private land becomes illegal. Tuesday, May 03, 2011 Private ...

More than 1,000 surgeries are still charging patients more than 40p a minute to make a call, a month after they were told to stop. Doctors should no longer use the high cost 0844 or 0845 lines under guidelines that came into force at the beginning of last month. Fronterman read what I said 'they are fighting the unlawful actions of authorities etc. where did I mention Police? Vanguard. Sorry have to disagree with your comment "judge you speed from engine noise" with the newer cars they are so much quieter you can hardly hear the engine noise. With regard to "fight the law" I think you will find they are fighting the lawless actions of authorities who act outside the law.

They have been issuing parking fines without the authority for five years and have now been found out, saw it today Monday on Spotlight, there should be more tonight 6-30 pm BBC1
