Margaret Swift is a town councillor. Margaret Swift is one of the six councillors sitting on the new Neighbourhood Plan steering group. Margaret Swift was at the stall today helping to collect signatures for the petition against TDC's proposal and Warren Farm. I've just come back from the Christmas market helping Richard and family with their petition. People were queuing up to sign and at one point someone had to nip off somewhere fast to get some more petition forms printed off such was the number signing.

Richard Weeks along with some of his sheep will be at the Dawlish Christmas market today. You'll find him (and them) outside the URC on the Strand. If you haven't signed the petition yet this will be an ideal time to do so.

I imagine that how to apply to become one of these 6 citizens will be advertised in the local paper as well as on the town council website. Which days and what time of day is it envisaged these meetings will be held? I ask because this will impact on whether or not an individual puts themselves forward eg if meetings held during a week day and someone who would like to be part of the steering group works 9-5 Mon-Fri then they would be excluded. Also, as this is about the future of Dawlish, how can our young people be involved?

@David Cox - and will 5 councillors request that this be considered by O&S committee?
