Well, who knows why the Lib Dems got the votes they did. I cannot help but think that Warren Farm was indeed an issue though that did get them votes. Perversely I know people who care a great deal about Warren Farm's future (in that they wish it to remain with the Weeks family) but were so hacked off with the Lib Dems nationally that they told me they could not place their vote for the Lib Dems ...

I think the local elections being held on the same day as the general election may have increased the number of votes cast for the local election candidates. Also, I suspect the new build houses in the ward may have also increased the numbers entitled to vote. Yes St.Ags was brisk when I was there about 2.30 this afternoon and my other half has just come in from there and said how busy it was,cars everywhere. All the extra voters from the Buntings, Nickleby Place and Swans Rise perhaps having something to do with it? The polls have just opened. If you wish Richard Weeks' voice to be heard at TDC then it makes sense to vote only for those who can give him that voice. (see my post immediately above this one).
I do not know the history of who approached whom. I do know however, from reading election literature and/or asking the candidates their opinions, that as well as the Lib Dems, the Green Party candidates and the UKIP candidate are also in support of RW's cause.
