I saw one of the cars with the wipers all bent round. Any car is unusable like this since you cannot risk it raining. Lets hope it hasn't ruined too many peoples' holiday plans.

The public sector got bloated under Labour with regional development agencies and similar ideas that were a waste of tax payers money. However, there is no need to take it out on teachers and nurses who in general do a pretty good job.
I suspect dawlishwulf is right. It probably wasn't a big enough incident for them to send out their own photographers or news reporters. Or they were too late.
