@Minnie1 Who? I thought that Sir Keir Starmer was leader of the Labour Party, or have I missed something?

Look at what Corbyn is promising if he wins the next election; we know it's impossible, yet for some reason people believe it. Politics is predicated on deceit and falsehoods .

Thanks very much for this, form submitted.

Thank you, Lynne, for posting this. The railways would be taking a step backwards if they go ahead with this plan to do away with practically all the ticket offices. I find it very difficult to read screens in bright sunlight, they always seem to be placed at exactly the wrong angle!

The country is going backwards. Try getting information from a call centre. You could die of boredom before you speak to someone.

Are you aware of the consultation regarding the closure of the Dawlish ticket office at the railway station? The Town Council is very concerned about the impact on blind, disabled and vulnerable people as it will reduce accessibility to the station. There is only until the 26th July to comment. The online form can be completed: https://www.transportfocus.org.uk/train-station-ticket.../

This planning application has now been lodged with the Planning Inspectorate on the grounds of non determination by TDC. Go to TDC's planning portal and type in 23/00006/NONDET to read the Appeal documents

We are looking forward to meeting up with our regular volunteers and hopefully lots of new faces this coming Monday 3rd July at The Swan. If you are interested in volunteering but are unsure what’s involved, worry you haven’t a lot of time to offer, or just need to find out more - do please come along and have a chat - there are volunteering roles to suit everyone!
