Just thought I'd bump this up as the film showings start tomorrow (Sat 5th).

@Carer .  Sigh.  I do so wish that you would read what I write.  I have explicitly stated that I do not condone criminal activity.  So I would like a public retraction and apology  from you (although I suspect that I will be waiting forever and a day)  concerning your libellous accusation that I support  criminal activity (colour of skin of criminal totally irrelevant from my point of view). ...

@Lynne What about the white people in the US who have been shot and killed by the police? Or doesn't that matter because they are white? Maybe it's because when a white person dies due to police action, the population don't use it as an excuse to go looting, burning and destroying property! You carry on with your support for a black criminal (Floyd) and you obviously have no ...

That's the bit that runs from the viaduct to Coryton Cove. Then there is the next piece of the work running from the Colonnade (where the pigeons ...

A newspaper report that is a couple of months old but I have just come across it again and thought it relevant to this thread. https://www.devonlive.com/news/devon-news/review-street-names-monuments-remove-4374263

It's sad to see how run down Dawlish has become over the last 15 years or so through the wanton ineptitude of the councils from local to ...

Based on the rate of progress made on the first Phase that should read March 2022! First Phase already 9 months behind the original scheduled date for completion and they still haven't finished!

At the risk of being accused of not being patriotic (feel sure someone will accuse me of it) I agree that the future of this country is looking pretty grim and that's for a myriad of reasons. I just see a downward spiral. Hope that doesn't happen of course, but...... Why all this has happened/is happening/will happen I don't see as being necessarily the fault of those who live in this country ...

Notices are up saying that the seawall walk (Footpath No 7 Dawlish from Colannade underpass to Black Bridge and Footpath No 10 the whole length of the path except access to Coastguard Cottages) will be closed from Monday 7th September to Sunday 7th March 2021. This is to enable work on the new sea wall to take place. Click here for more info. ...
