Try First Direct - excellent telephone service (no automation), owned by HSBC so you can use their branches, and money can be paid in at the Post Office. I have other bank accounts with Barclays and Santander but FD has always been the best.

I can't see anything nasty about Judith Chalmers post, there's plenty about the Carnival Committee on the other thread that Margaret Swift hasn't jumped on. But now this very positive thread had been hijacked and given over to her feud with JC. Just let it lie or take it to private messaging as I don't want to read it.
There is no need to be even handed, the Airshow organisation wins hands down, it warrants support. The Carnival Commitee members are repeatedly showing themselves to be amateurish fools. Ditch them, they're not good for Dawlish.
In the meantime the Lawn is bustling with people, multiple concessions and a general air of professionalism and enjoyment. Carnival Week compares badly even taking account of the glamour element of the Airshow. If the committee can't attract anything more than a funfair and a few stalls and needs subsidising then the Town Council should rethink its suport. What say Cllrs Clayson, Vickery and ...
