Hi guys, Thanks for the posts re our webcam. I am Jamie Rowley, an administrator on Railcam, and can only echo the sadness of the news that we are to lose the location in January. We are looking at every option to save the cam, including contacting various parties via Twitter and general appeals via both Facebook and Twitter. Fredrick, The only problem with having it facing the other way is you get to see very little of the trains, well far less than you do when it is pointing the standard way (Towards Dawlish Warren) but it can be moved at a flick of a switch if you like. It is remotely controlled by any of the administrators on the site and done over the internet. This link will show you what I mean ...

Thanks for that Lynne. Frederick, the cam is usuall facing towards Dawlish Warren. Is the bridge actually on the station or the one at the Dawlish Warren end, where the steps are just visible on our cam it its usual position? Thanks again.

Hi, I just thought I would point you in the direction of our webcam that it situated  on the east side of the bridge, I assume, you are talking about? The bridge at the east end of Dawlish station.
