Are you local then John? I thought you were hiding in the states again!
The colour was chosen, to my knowledge, by the conservation officer of Teignbrige council, one Richard Bland. Dawlish council wanted a bright colour to go with being by the sea side. i honestly believe Teignbridge council could save some money by parting company with Bland, who is frankly out of touch with reality.
Congratulations to Dawlish warren beach for achieving the blue flag for 2013. One of nine in Devon!
Does anyone know where I can locate the carnival website information? I've tried the co.uk version but it hasn't been updated since Septemeber 2012.
It could be an interesting attraction. How about if the council were to buy it and have it installed in the town somewhere?
@Paul . thank you. here here! if there wasn't money being spent people would have something to moan about. ffs wait until its finished!
Doesn't the government already take 20% of your interest in tax on your savings?
I think I can safely go and scrap all my computers and cancel my internet. Clearly the anonomous "Fred Basset" has the answer to everything and will be runniung for council at the next opportunity
If only we had a phone line
I've just had a call from the environment agency advising me that there is a flood possibility in lower Dawlish tomorrow morning
