You say traffic calming is not the answer so what do you suggest.
I did phone Teigbridge council some time ago expressing my concerns about the speeding trafic leading to the leisure centre, also elmgrove road leading to the schools and suggested some sort of trafic calming and speed control similar to the system leading into Dawlish Warren but was told there was no money available as it was all used for Dawlish Warren.
I think we have had this discussion before and it just gets worse. They race up and down sandy lane and along the exeter road passing the centre bollards on the wrong side. Perhaps the speed cameras at the holcombe dip and shutterton which are rumoured to be discarded should be installed elsewhere
Unfortunatly i'm afraid it's human nature to have a good moan even if it's unwarranted
Iagree I live near there and have already voiced my opinion through the local paper. What's needed are speed humps like the ones going in and out of Dawlish Warren.
Wishing the webmaster and everyone who visits this site a very happy christmas and a very peaceful 2007
It is really sad when you here about people who haven't had contact with a family member for years. I have young children and am close to all my family so it is really hard to comprehend what it would be like if of my children lost contact with each other when they get older. Family values don't seem as important in our society these days.
I find it really remarkable that a few individuals nitpick relentlessly about this website and possibly other websites, but they still continue to use it. Perhaps they should start their own website where they can have their own Dawlish chat room and then they will be the Webmaster and all the postings can go via themselves, then they can have a sensible Dawlish discussion forum, and I still think ...
