Data center decommissioning involves removing IT assets and infrastructure from a Datacenter.  Many companies may decide to upgrade hardware, cloud migration, or relocating to a different facility.  We begin with an assessment of the Datacenter and create a detail inventory of all equipment including network switches, storage devices, servers and other IT equipment.  During the decommissioning process of a data center, clients may ask us to ensure that all drives and SSDs are securely wiped or destroyed/shredded to prevent data breaches.  We will provide detail scope of work, timeline, budget, and transportation.   Once the plan is in place, there will be phyiscal removal of IT equipment and an audit will take place and documentation will be provided of all hardware, software, and data handling procedures.
