Traveling with my family through Newark Liberty International Airport was an overall fantastic experience, and one of the small but very appreciated features was the Newark Airport Smoking Area. Traveling with my father-in-law, who is a smoker, often adds an extra layer of planning to our trips. However, Newark made everything smooth, easy, and stress-free with their clearly marked and accessible smoking zones. As soon as we arrived at Terminal B for our early morning flight, we were happy to see that  Newark Airport was very easy to find. Clear signs pointed us outside to the designated space. The area was located conveniently near the terminal entrance but thoughtfully placed far enough from heavy foot traffic so non-smokers weren’t inconvenienced. This smart layout made a great first impression. Newark Airport itself was very well maintained. It had plenty of ashtrays, waste bins, and even some benches for people to sit and relax. My father-in-law was able to comfortably enjoy a cigarette while the rest of us waited nearby without any smoke drifting toward us. The cleanliness and organization of the area stood out; it didn't feel neglected or messy like some other airports we've passed through before. Another great aspect was how much time it saved us. Since the smoking area was right outside and easy to access, we didn't have to walk long distances or add any unnecessary stress before check-in and security. It allowed us to stay on schedule while still giving my father-in-law the break he needed. Upon our return, we had another positive experience at the arrivals level. Again, signage directed us clearly to another Newark Airport, which was just as clean and convenient as the first. Even late in the evening, the area was well-lit and felt safe. Overall, Newark Airport made our family’s travel experience much more pleasant. It’s a small detail that really shows how Newark Liberty International Airport cares about the needs of all their travelers. We’ll definitely choose Newark again for our future family trips!
