Take a look at this week's (2.7.08)Dawlish Gazette. page 10. Memory Lane - 10 years ago.
I quote from one of the articles:

"The village of Kenton has been dealt 'a cruel blow' in terms of potential traffic problems as a result of change of use approval for a farm shop with craft units at Powderham Castle.

Cllr Alan Connett told Teignbridge Council that many cars exceeded the speed limit and the development would attract customers from outside the area".

So what does he think a new supermarket based in Dawlish would do then? And has he experienced the Exeter Road recently in that part of Dawlish where the supermarkets are vying with each other to locate? I think he'll find that speeding is quite common there as well - along with accidents.

I have to say that speeding motorists don't cause accidents. Inabilty to drive, Inattention, Drink and drugged up drivers, and those that do not have the ability to anticipate are the main culprits.
If some people cannot manoever their vehicle when trying to park, what chance do I have when they are travelling at 30 MPH?
