Does anyone have any information on what is going to happen to the park at Sandy Lane, Dawlish? It would be great to see some more equipment for the children to play on, at the moment there is only the baby swing! My family grew up in this area and I have many happy memories of the Spider park. It would be nice for our children to have the same.

This used to be my favorite park as a kid. I think we should protest against it being closed down. Who do we contact?

I used to play in the spider park when i was younger. it is really sad to see that there are only a few swings left there now.

I think that we should get in contact with the town council and see what happens from there.

I did speak to the local council last year but didn't really get very far. Apparantly they had a lot of calls about this park but as there were no funds available the only option was for local people to raise money themselves!!

There is an article in the Dawlish Gazette this week regarding the Spider park. A group of fundraisers walked 11 1/2 miles to Newton Abbot from Dawlish Community College. They are hoping to raise 150.00, another group of children are hoping to raise 500.00 towards the 47,000.00 cost of the play park. This is great news, keep up the good work.
