Forget the pro's and con's having a skate park
Can someone please tell me how much was the grant what will happen to the interest made on the money.
Is there a deadline for building it and why hasnt is been built.
Surely planning permission plans etc would have been sought before applying for the grant.
Why is the coouncil sitting on the money
Aso is there a time limit for the park to be built? How much was the grant for? What is going to happen to the interest made on the grant money? Who holds the grant money?
My mole tells me:-
A grant of £20,000 has been awarded, any interest accrued will be used by the council for the shocking way they overspend or just spend our money. Planning permission has been granted.
There are many more children in this town that are not a bit interested in a skateboard park. Why try and put all the kids in a box and tell them this is what you are going to get and nothing more.
Where do children go (or adults for that matter) go to practice on a ski slope? There are plenty of Skateboard park's around, just go to Exeter and see what they have done there, apart from making it a big graffiti theme park.
There's a dry ski slope at Plymouth. Is there one any nearer?
Agree that skate board parks bring graffiti.
Agree that there are other kids in town not in the least bit interested in skateboarding.
