Looks like Queen Street is going to be closed to traffic for at least a month starting from Monday 28th April.

I only forgot once and had to turn round by braking wind. I nearly forgot again on a separate ocassion and then I remembered, which was lucky as I would have arrived late at my destination which would have had a catastrophic impact upon mankind as we know it.

Unexpectedly Queen Street is open again - just in time for the Strand to close.

Arrrgghhh! This really F**ked me off how inconvenient! Couldn't get my head around the road system. What was wrong with the Strand anyway? This street would be much better padestrianised!!!!

I'm sure i haven't spelt that right!

I agree, it would be so much better pedestrianised. We could have some nice cafes there with loads of room for tables and chairs overlooking the lawn.

That reminds me. Why is Gay's Creamery allowed to put tables and parasol's on the grass verge opposite their shop in the Brunswick WITHOUT PLANNING permission, yet the Ugly Duckling who incidentally is run by a wonderful friendly couple, who dish up wonderful food, are having to apply for planning permission to do virtually the same.
Anyone got an answer to that?

Good point. Well done to the Ugly Duckling and a really good business run by nice people. They deserve to do well.
