Had taken my grandchildren on their first train journey.
Getting off at Dawlish I was struggling with the buggy when two teenagers helped me off the train and over to the other side.
They put the older generation to shame who were either standing by getting impatient or trying to barge past

I noticed nobody replied to this thread.
Do you all have such a low opinion of
the youth (our future) of this town
Shame on you

I think they enjoy moaning about the youth more Olive.

The youth in this town are a decent bunch compared to other places i've been.

Totally agree the teenagers in this town are decent. If more of the oldies took time to speak & listen to them instead of running them down all the time they would see what decent kids they are. I treat the teenagers the same way as would like to be treated (as a person) and guess what it works.
People in this town are always pointing the finger at them and moaning about them hanging around down town. Where would you like them to go they have NOTHING in this town at present. People should remember we were all kids once.

Well said both of you.
Kids have always gathered together, in my
day it was the village green
