Dawlish Discussion

Dispute between teignbridge council and devon county on putting up the money for the replacement bridge. Politicians eh! Lib dems sitting on this for 3 years and Devon county not interested in spending money in Dawlish......the shape of things  to come when we are part of exeter province.

And both councils are run by the Lib Dems. It is a party dispute.

Maybe Lib Dem Teignbridge District Cllr for Dawlish NE Rosie Dawson can send her latest petition to the Chair of Devon Country council Lib Dem Devon County Cllr for Dawlish NE Rosie Dawson. 

God knows how she fits in being a Town Councllor. 

And she runs a mental health charity too, but all the work is done by volunteers while she takes her Directors wage for doing what? Co-ordinating unpaid workers.

Perhaps we can call in " one of the most hard working MPs for dawlish " to sort it out but probably too busy with his 3 jobs, newspaper column, no photo opportunity etc to be bothered about this as he lives in starcross/cockwood. Expect rosie to start another petition against herself as the chair of devon cc.

That sounds frustrating, especially when a bridge replacement has been discussed for years and residents are still left waiting for a clear decision. It’s easy to see why people in Dawlish would be annoyed when the responsibility for funding seems to sit between different councils. The bridge is an important local link, so hopefully they can stop passing the issue back and forth and actually agree on a way forward. At this rate, people will be talking about replacing it for another few years.

@ Jack Campbell, in a couple of years dawlish will be under the Exeter province probably Labour ruled who wont give a flying ....for dawlish who historically usually votes tory/Lib dem. This will allow the lib dems to say not our fault bridge never replaced so complain to Labour exeter council.
