Despite losing his seat on the Town Council in the 2023, hopefully because the electorate were appalled at his violent misconduct as a Teignbridge Councillor, Gary 'The Brawler' Taylor is standing in the by-election for Dawlish Town Council, South West ward. Disgraced then Council leader Alan Connett failed to condemn Taylor's violent misconduct and kept him on the Executive as did his successor Martin Wrigley, who led the Council for a year or so prior to becoming our MP. Clearly the code of conduct is not applicable to the Liberal Democrats.
The vacancy for this ward is a result of the recent death of Liberal Democrat Councillor Mike James. He was also a District Councillor for Dawlish SW, and there is also a by-election for this position.
The election takes place on 25th June, 2025.
