The Teignmouth Library fire (Image: Rebecca Hamer). Fire crews from Dawlish , Torquay and Newton Abbot responded when Teignmouth Library caught fire at 1.36pm on Sunday, April 19. Teignmouth Fire Station later said it was unable to respond because of a shortage of available crew despite being situated just across the road.
