Network Rail are making good progress with the repairs to the storm damage on the old sea wall footpath between Dawlish and Dawlish Warren and plan to reopen the stretch between Dawlish (Coastguards breakwater) and Rockstone footbridge on Saturday 11 April.
The full stretch between Dawlish and Langstone/Red Rock is expected to reopen on the early May Bank Holiday weekend (Saturday 2 May). However, these dates will depend on the weather and they may not meet them if there are further storms. In the meantime, the footpath remains closed to keep everyone safe. Please don’t attempt to climb over the gates.
