I walked along the seawall today - from Dawlish to Dawlish Warren and then back along the cliff top footpath.
What a beautiful day. Clear views over Lyme Bay. Portland Bill just ever so ever so visible in the distance.
The tide was out and at Red Rock there were lots of rocks and rock pools just waiting to be climbed over and investigated by curious children. I wish my body was as lithe and supple now as it was all those years ago when I was a child.
Up and over the footbridge just before the Warren, and along the cliff top foot/cyclepath back towards Dawlish. Lots of lovely birdsong, a bluetit here a robin there. Wild daffodils and other spring flowers nodding their heads in the slight breeze.
Aren't we all so very, very luck to live here.
