Heavy rain and gusty winds have led to the cancellation of Dawlish's Christmas lights switch-on for public safety. Entertainment will still proceed in shops, with the Christmas Market and Lantern Parade rescheduled for Sunday.

It’s a shame the lights switch-on was cancelled, but safety is definitely more important. Glad to hear that the shops and Christmas Market will still have activities, and fingers crossed the rescheduled Lantern Parade on Sunday still brings plenty of festive fun for everyone!
