Dont think red arrows fly so low as to be "challenged" by waterworks. The standard of journalism from the MDA is really awful.

As long as they follow the diversion signs they should be OK. laugh

I don't think that the "challenges from ongoing South West Water works" was directed at the Red Arrows, more to the challenges of the carnival committee, so there is nothing wrong with the journalism at all.

The word " despite" means that the waterworks influences the flypast. Do tell how the pilots will adjust for that ? If it was supposed to be directed towards the carnival committee then it should have said so, hence poor journalism...

Considering that there is a comma after the word Arrows, denotes that that small section beginning from the word Including, which has a comma preceding it after the word Programme, shows the the section regarding the Reds flypast was a simple add on to the sentence, if you know anything about the written English language. So there is nothing wrong with the journalism.

I do know about the english language and the overiding point is that if it can be misinterpreted then it is poor journalism. Assuming you know about the english language, are the red arrows going to fly up the strand  "amid" the waterworks as stated in the headline.
