Dawlish is (I mean was) a lovely place. Viewing old pictures, films of Dawlish always shows how nice the town used to look. The black swans, the brook and the manor gardens were not discovered they were created with a lot of effort by people many years ago. It is with this earlier effort that Dawlish gained its reputation as a tourist destination. Today Dawlish only has a few dirty and deteriorating reminders of nicer times. What does Dawlish offer the tourists of today? I can only think of Dawlish Warren beach which is reportedly disappearing. Lets just hope the proposed supermarkets, housing developments and the town regeneration come to the rescue.

Well Dawlish pillars of society are offering you supermarkets for a start. They are trying to deny you open space. They are attempting to build so many houses that it won't be too far into the future that congestion charging will be brought in. You have a variety of estate agents (to many) all playing the same tune. You have a variety of charity shops and numerous coffee houses. You would get more betting shops if you wanted them. You will get your council tax increased for things you don't want rather than things you do.
What more do you want?
