@1263 Have you listened to the album?
Or do you just hate ambient music as much as you hate jazz?
@dac,
Didnt say i hated jazz just dont like it.
Do tell about the tracks that challenge stigma and promote wellbeing .... could saved some time and energy and bought a album about whales farting.
@1263 You dislike jazz so much you feel compelled to tell everyone.
Nothing to tell. I've not heard the album so I don't have an opinion on it.
Have you listened to the album?
@DAC
Newsflash....welcome to social media where people air their thoughts, opinions, issues for debates etc. If you cannot understand that concept perhaps you should stick to the public notice sections
in newspapers. I know i dont like "ambient" music so no need to challenge my "stigma" by wasting money on this. At least you can console yourself by standing in lifts and shops listening to ambient music free of charge.....
@1263 Why do my comments bother you so much? You could've just written;
'No I haven't listened to the album' and 'I don't like ambient music in general'
@1263 Are you still sore about the jazz thread?? Get over it.
On jazz I objected to your negativity and miserable comment regarding a local event that a lot of people will enjoy. I don't care if you like jazz or not.Does other people's getting joy from an activity, event or type of music trigger you? Or as @Carer wrote are you just lonel and craving attention?
Nor do I care whether you like ambient music or not. However the fact that you're on this site denigrating a worthwhile project at Langdon which is wholly for the benefit of patients' healing and recovery is really low. It says a lot about you.
You dont care if i like jazz or not but your keeping the post going Living rent free in your head.!!!
P.s dont give a toss what @carer says, like i have already told you but has not sunk in yet that eveyone is entitled to an opinion and sorry to disappoint you but i am not offended. As they say opinions are like ass#ho%es , everybodys got one.
On a serious note I'm all for this sort of therapeutic work within the NHS's mental health provision and it seems to be a success according to the article;
"The album has already attracted critical acclaim.
The Wire magazine featured a full-page review in its April edition.
Ambient music pioneer Kirsty Hawkshaw praised its therapeutic use of natural sound.
Released on the Spirit Duplicator label via Bandcamp, a share of album sales will support DPT’s Open Up charity, furthering the trust’s commitment to innovative, person-centred care."
I'm sure most local people would be positive about this kind of intervention.
I hope they're not put off contributing to the discussion pages on here by narrow-mindedness and negativity.
