A BUSINESSMAN who owns a shoe repair and key cutting shop in Dawlish has hit out at a nearby supermarket’s plan to build a Timpson at its Exeter Road store. Ben Elliot, owner of Park Road repair shop, Be Repaired, says that Sainsbury’s plan to build a new retail concession pod in its carpark will adversely affect his business.

Dawson and the Lib Dems voted to effectively kill small businesses in Queen St Newton Abbot and the party also gave the go ahead for Lidl's in Bovey Tracey, despite numerous concerns from small businesses.

Now here she is with yet another petition which just offers false hopes to the business owner, whilst providing her with yet more publicity.

Dawson would go to the opening of a fridge if it got her picture in the paper.

Interestingly i think it was rosie who was raising a petition to get the bridge over the brook replaced, then it was kicked into the long grass when the furore died down ( lib dem tatic ? ). Teinbridge  council run by the lib dems are due to vote on sainsburys application in june i think, so lets see what the outcome with "rosies involvement" is.

It's a Lib Dem tactic to be seen to be doing something, because they know the 1900 or so who vote for them don't actually pay any attention to whether the Lib Dems actually get anything done.

Dawson is yet again petitioning the District Council on which she sits, which is run by her own party. It's all about her, getting her face in the paper and not the plight of this business owner.

Now the Lib Dems are the largest party in the County Council we can expect them to petition themselves in County Hall on a more regular basis.

And it gets worse, Dawson is now the vice Chair of the County Council. How she got this position after her dictatorial role as Chair of the District Council shows that the Lib Dems are neither liberal or democratic. I suppose that means she only has to pass a petition to the Chair sat next to her, just as well as Rosie 4 Jobs must have a lot on her plate.

"Cllr Rosie Dawson for Dawlish" (as she now calls herself on a certain social media site) posted yesterday that she was doing training at County Hall and illustrated it with a document relating to the 2010 Equality Act.  Not sure if she was being dense or ironic.

@burnside Dawson knows that her sh*tshow as chair of TDC that went viral on You Tube is now common knowledge for those who take an interest in the broader sh*tshow that is local politics. And that people talk. It all would've really bruised her ego.

Her latest post is as near to an admission as we're going to get that she was wrong when she appointed herself 'Equality Champion' for trans people, many of whom think she has done more harm than good, given her authoritarian chairing, discrimination of women and censorship as a chair who should be an exemplar of democratic values.

Hopefully she's learnt that sex is a protected characteristic and that women's rights are equally as important. That's 'equally', maybe she has learnt the definition of 'equality' and let's hope her and the Lib Dems take notice of the Supreme Court ruling that defined a woman.

Hopefully she reads Dawlish.com It'd be even better if she quit local politics but that isn't going to happen, but that'd be putting the electorate first.
