Has anyone else given any thought to the fact that if the planned skatepark and youth/community centre goes ahead then they will both be in extremely close proximity to the cricket pitch. No problem in the winter, but summer........?

There is only one planning objection to the skatebord park.
It is as you say to close to the cricket pitch, there has been no consultation with local residents, although there is a claim that there has been. They claim that there was only one house within the audible range, but it has now been discovered there are at least three. Ask the children that have played for years on the Astroturf, who is complaining about the noise now? And he has only lived there for a while, You know the three houses that have recently been built beside the bowling green at Sandy Lane.
We need to save every inch of open space, not clutter it up with other facilities or houses.
Why don't they build a ski-slope and such like, that would use up a bit more of the open space, which we are very short of here in Dawlish.

Fantastic idea! It'd be great not to have to travel to Plymouth to go dry-slope skiing!
