When ever i walk past the Heat Cabinet is full, sausages, fish, pies etc so the food is hardly freshly cooked.

I know its not possible to cook to order sometimes but the shop is never that busy(Winter) to warrant cooking so much at a time.

Is the food thats not sold thrown out when the shop closes or is it re heated (Yuck).

Also hygiene is a worry, know one wears a hat a basic requirement in the fast foot trade so are other basic hygiene rules followed?.

And if Dawlish were to get a new supermarket I wonder how long it would be before people started to moan about it?

Very true .. they certainly will not like it. As said before here the trade for Tesco will be from outside Dawlish for the best part, as people in Dawlish travel out of town, got a car best use it lol .. crazy but fact.

It might be a Sainsbury's and not a Tesco. Just a thought.

I totally agree, some people will always find other peoples success hard to swallow in Dawlish. I would like to add that the Kebabs are to die for, plenty of meat, salad and sauces, all wrapped in a naan bread, absolutely the best....keep it up guys!!

Dear Dawlish Resident,

In response to:
"Also hygiene is a worry, know one wears a hat a basic requirement in the fast foot trade so are other basic hygiene rules followed"

I may I ask do you think we wear the blue hair nets as a fashion statement? They are, after all incredibly flattering.

You can't please all of the people, all of the time. Thank you for your concern, however we a proud of the standards we keep and train our staff to work by the rule:

"If you wouldn't eat it, don't expect someone else to."

If there are any further concerns, you know where to find us. [just not on a Wednesday!]

The 9th was a Wednesday on which we close all day.

Summer opening times may vary, but we're sorry that you missed us this time round!

Just wanted to say a big Thank You to everyone who has popped along and visited us.

Nothing beats hearing how some one has enjoyed one of our Kebabs - sometimes I don't know how you get through it all!

We will continue to work our hardest in this New Year and serve food that we are proud of.

Many Many Thanks!

All at Rock 'n' Sole
