Looks iike i must have missed the election as thety are holding up "winning here "placards when voting has not taken place and no canvassing been done. Another way the lib dems hold the electorate in contempt.

Dawlish has voted for Martin at all 3 levels of local government and now to Westminster.

The town has also voted for Rosie to the Town and District Councils, so she looks odds on to be elected to County as well. So the anti-Liberal Democrat views and negativity on here are but the views of a vocal minority.

@AliPop

By your own admission, if Reform had not split the vote then Wrigley would not have been elected to Westminster so it was hardly a ringing endorsement of the clown,

@burnside Absolutely Martin would still be but a Councillor and Anne-Marie Morris would still be our MP were it not for Reform.

That was a constituency wide election. Here in Dawlish the other Council elections won by Martin and Rosie were because Dawlish continues to vote Liberal Democrat. The town is seen as a Liberal Democrat stronghold, a sure bet, a safe seat.

Reform now contesting local elections makes it easier to win in Dawlish as the Conservative vote which was only 100 behind Marin in 2021's County election will now be split for the foreseeable future.

Who remembers that song?

"We're busy doing nothing, working the whole day through, trying to find lots of things not to do". cheeky

@Carer What a lovely song. I remember it well. It ends.... "...I'd like to be unhappy.... but I really don't have the time!" Shame the exact opposites applies to all the miseries on this site who have plenty of time for negativity, eh?

@burnside. Honestly, where's the scrutiny of the Liberal Democrats? Rosie in particular is a potential gift to the Reform campaign, yet you're all too uninformed about local politics to even realize. Hence why I can be so brazen and confident on this site about us winning. Scrutiny?! That's laughable.
