Easter Eggs
Has anyone else noticed that the word 'Easter' is not being shown on the packaging of Easter Eggs, just generally 'Milk (or Dark) Chocolate Egg.
Greed, gluttony and sloth are 3 of the 7 Deadly Sins and religion has little to do with this seasonal festival of binge eating.
Possibly due to 'diversity' and 'inclusivity' concerns.
Waiting to see if the BBC celebrates Easter as much as it did Ramadan last month.
By not using the word Easter it extends the sales period and the need for reductions after the holiday.
Christianity is a Middle Eastern religion as is Islam, so truly 'indigenous' Brits should surely be celebrating the pre-Christian festival.

Yes and lets drop the santa image from xmas cards so that they can extend the sales period. Are you seriously suggesting this christian country adopt a druid type celebration.? or is rhe clue in your handle name Ali.?
@1263 Santa Claus, also known as St Nicholas was from Asia Minor, modern day Turkey, so another example of Christianity and celebrations being not truly 'British', but rather a foreign import.
And no I'm not seriously suggesting we revert to Druidism or any other re-Christian faith. Do you take everything literally?

Your confusing British with Christianty, The country is Britain whose offical religon is christianty ( so far) so nobody suggested that we Britain "own" christianity

Why am I confusing British with Christianity? So it's okay to accept one Middle Eastern religion (Christianity) in these islands and not another (Islam)? Who is to say that Christianity will never be replaced by another religion in the future, as was the case when the first Christian missionaries crossed the sea in boats to convert our ancestors to the ways of Christ?

As per previous mails nobody said britain owns "christianity" only you. So you have never heard of britains inclusivity and diversity?
Not got a problem but when theywant to change the laws of the country they come to, e.g sharia law that could be a problem, so do you agree we should cut hands off for theft?

I don't follow your last sentence. Who are 'they'? Immigrants? Do you think they are all acting in unison, in some sort of co-ordinated invasion?

Well you better wake up and smell the coffee because there are a lot of people in this country that want to introduce that and its their medieval customs which " medieval england " has moved on with that they want to introduce.
There are certainly a lot of highly paranoid and anxious people in this country who believe such rubbish and who are easily manipulated by Reform's Trumpist alarmism. Reform are just profiting from the mental health epidemic. They won't reverse the decline of the nation.
The only mental health epidemic is with people who believe the Lib Dumbs are the answer, they are quite clearly insane.
@burnside Our candidate Rosie is a former mental health nurse and she runs a mental health charity in the town focused on health and wellbeing, helping many people, She's a health and wellbeing champion.
The mental health epidemic effects everyone but Reform are manipulating angry white men and are cultivating hatred to divide our communities, it's radicalisation, Reform supporters cannot claim sanity, they're fuelled by malice.
