could anyone advise me on any good download sites for my sons MP3 player as I'm not sure which are safe to go on. Many thanks

Marie .. go to www.download.com ...then in the search box put 'limewire' then select 4.14 frre download from the list.

Lime wire is illegal!!!!!

use repsected sites like radio 1 or gemini fm.

Limewire is legal. It is shared files. You can pay if you wish for a high speed download, when free it still only takes about 4-5 minutes for a song on broadband.

Limewire isnt illegal, its just illegal to use it!

I know loads of people who had to uninstall Limewire due to viruses and other nasties finding their way in. Plus there are some extremely unsavoury video/dvd downloads on there too, so not entirely safe.

Well I use it and never had any problems.
I should have realised this website is only about picking holes in everything.
I only responeded to the help posting ..pity I had to do it through HERE!

Jim is right, Limewire is legal due to it being shared files, but there is often quite a few viruses that come through, so maybe it isn't the safest of download sites...but then again, even sites like bbc or gemini fm, haven't got 100% security of no viruses so really, all download sites aren't safe. I have relatives who have used Limewire and it's completly mucked up their computer, but for others, like Jim it's fine. It all comes down to your computer security in the end and whether you have anti-viruses like Norton or McAfee installed.
