I agree with you from a first hand point of view, there are many houses on the market but, even tiny 2bed props are going for over £130,000. Its imposible to get on the ladder unless there are two people bringing in a wage or you are one of the few people to be earning £35,000 +
I guess its a case buying lottery tickets or joining a bingo club!!! NOT......
Still its not that bad we get to have a laugh on this site and Im sure there are a few slightly sane people who live near who do pick up their dog poop..

Well, 130k is still a lot of money - and if you're borrowing, that's a hell of a millstone of debt to repay.

My Minister of Finance tells me that the feelgood factor of high house prices is an illusion. Normally low prices (eg for beer) are seen as a good thing - yet paradoxically, HIGH house prices are seen as good. It is a fallacy.

Yes I totally agree with you It IS a lot of money even in this day and age.
As far as your mates house being 400k BELIEVE IT there are quite a few around that price.
They are very nice though but if I had that kind of cash, Im sorry but i would not buy in Dawlish.

I have gone out into the Cosmos, and worked my ass off for 20 years - interacting with all sorts of scumbags.

Now I find out that if i'd just sat like a big nonce in Dawlish eating Gays Creamery buns for all that time. I'd have the same net worth.
