Anyone know what is happening over these pay to use toilets?

A Devon council looking to save money has launched a survey on public toilets to determine their value, usage and whether people would pay to use them.
Teignbridge District Council launched the online survey, external after councillors voted to consult residents.
The six-week consultation asks people what they view as the value of the area's 34 public toilets.
The authority said it needed to save "a significant amount of money" to continue to fund statutory services.
It said responses to the survey, open until 23 December, would provide "vital information" to better understand residents' views.
The council said no decisions had been made on possible closures as yet.
Toilets featured in the survey include Ashburton Kingsbridge Lane, Dawlish Warren, Moreton hampstead Court Street and Newton Abbot Bakers Park.
They dont seem to understand that people come to devon as tourists, and if they close the toilets where do people go, and why would you pay for toilets then parking etc. Where do they find these people for council positions who have no common sense. Another poll thus time for teignbridge asked for peoples options via survey monkey to select choices to keep services funded. None if the optons mentioned Redundancies which would occur if this was a private company run by sensible people. In that note how about our local MP giving up his roles im teignbridge and devon councils to save money now that he is a MP
That's absolutely nuts. As 1263 says, what about the tourists, all the people that pay good money to have a fantastic time, perhaps staying at the holiday parks at Dawlish Warren. They are now not allowed to go toilet, this is crazy.
Also we're asked to pay more and more and bit by bit we get less in return.
We should be encouraging tourists and shoppers by making parking easy and cheap or free where possible, and ensuring there are ample amenities including public toilets.
Otherwise we'll end up with a town full of dodgy charity shops and barbers.
You have to remember that a quarter of your council tax goes to pay pensions of council employees in addition Teignbridge is on record to reduce black bin collections from two weekly to three weekly. Council tax going up by likely 4.99% again and services going down.
