Dawlish Discussion

The last few weeks I have observed a number of people dressed all in black with rucksacks and balaclavas riding on the roads around Dawlish at high speed. These bikes are illegal to be ridden in public and the way the riders are dressed and equipped tends to look somewhat suspicious. These bikes are not your usual e-bike and usually cost several thousand pounds if not more but are pedal less and look more like scramblers/motocross bikes with top speeds of between 40 and 70mph.

Has anyone else observed these bikes and riders in their area recently? 

Three individuals seen popping wheelies in Dawlish, Sainsbury's car park early afternoon today.

One went past me just outside Starcross the other night. No lights.  I wish I saw him sooner i'd have put him in the ditch.

@expat - one of those hits a pedestrian at speed is going to cause serious injury. They are very quiet and very fast and add a retard riding it is, in my book, a recipe for disaster for some innocent pedestrian.

Saw one again Tuesday night, same place in Starcross about 8.30pm.  Once again no lights and speeding up the strand. Maybe I'll be third time lucky next time and give him a little nudge. Just in the interest of road safety of course.
