Update from PC Miller, Dawlish's new Neighbourhood Beat Manager!
PC Miller attended yesterday's full Town Council meeting to share updates about the proactive work being done to keep our community safe. Here’s what’s happening:
The local policing team includes PC Miller and two Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs).
Tackling anti-social behaviour in collaboration with Teignbridge District Council, using civil injunctions and community protection notices to address youth-related concerns.
Investigating recent van thefts, possibly linked to an organised group.
Building strong connections with all local schools to support our young people.
Encouraging everyone to report incidents via:
https://www.devon-cornwall.police.uk/.../how-to-report-a.../ to strengthen resources and intelligence.
Parking issues? These are predominantly managed by District and County Councils depending on location.
Exciting news! A "Pubs Against Drugs" project is launching soon, with licensing issues in some local pubs being tackled head-on.
Kudos to local retailers reporting shoplifting incidents, with support from the Dawlish Chamber of Trade and Commerce.
