Just been outside, absolutely freezing cold.
Met Office says it will feel like -6C tonight.
Shame global warming never took off.

When I was a kid back in the 1960's winter was cold, but these days you would think Britain had been moved to the Artic Circle if you listen to all the scare mongering that comes from the government and media outlets.
No central heating or double glazing in our house back then. One thing I did enjoy as a kid back then was thick snow and the freshly delivered milk freezing and pushing the cream out of the bottle with the little gold/silver lids on top like little hats ha ha ha, although my Dad was not as impressed.
Britain was a hard place to live and work back then but more people had a better moral compass and a more charitable heart back then and there was more on the tv to have a good laugh at without political interference in my opinion.....Happy New Year everyone.
Some people jump on you if you say life was better back then but I dont care because I think it was. Sure we didnt have the modern day comforts we have today. Our house was heated with 2 parafin heaters. No fridge or any of that fancy stuff! But people were nicer to each other then. No internet for people to abuse others from their armchair. Life seemed simpler. Not always easy but that applies today also, but definately better. I remember the fozen milk bottles as a kid and also when it wasnt frozen the birds would peck a hole in the lid to get at the milk. Happy days indeed.
