went there for a meal. they have ruined an olde worlde pub, but more so the man behind the bar was the most obnoxious person one could wish to meet. couldn't do enough to make for a pleasant stay (i think not). And on that subject, all of the traditional pubs in this part of the world seem to be disappearing. ok if you want a sit down meal, but no good for just having a few drinks and a chat. oh how i long for brian at the shipwrits and trevor at the devon arms (now of course both oriental restaurants).

And the Prince of Wales in the good old days of Ray being landlord. Is there anywhere in Dawlish where you can have a game of dominoes or cards etc or sit by an open fire conversation putting the word to right etc.
Here in France all those things go on, makes for an enjoyable evening out. Yes there are places with loud music bands etc as well all tastes are catered for.
