Lovely week, last week in Dawlish.I've always thought September is a good time to visit.
Did get cut up at traffic lights in Torquay by taxi driver - foolhardy driving - but it was a taxi driver after all.
Also got ignored by Starcross-Exmouth ferry whilst being the only two waiting to return at Exmouth dock. No apology was forthcoming from the ferrymen when (an hour later) I asked why we were left, so won't be doing that trip again!
Picked a lovely morning to walk to Seven Sisters. What a panoramic view that is - especially looking towards the Exe & Dawlish Warren. Two old wooden stiles have now been replaced by 'kissing gates' so the area hasn't been forgotten by the council.
The Lea Mount info board has also been re-instated.
Surprised to see the dolphins (2 pairs) in the bay on the Sunday morning.
That's it, same week booked for 2008.
A Winter Postcard
The beauty of a winter's morn -
when snow is fresh and clean;
Boughs on evergreens clothed in white -
a pretty sight to be seen.
Bushes are, themselves, a garden -
to be remembered in the spring;
A postcard scene on a winter's morn,
to me, is everything.
