Apparently, this is still going on. Why is nothing being done about it?

Still going on because theres no police presence in the town. The police commisioner keeps raising more money from the precept every year but we see nothing for the "extra officers".

All very well keep bashing the police but you can't tell me some of the parents aren't aware of their little darlings antics, shouldn't need to be a police issue if the parents actively parented! Surely the shop they thieve from should be able to put their pictures on the shop entrance banning them, at some point the families will start to be embarrassed enough to do something about it. The law doesn't help the police deal with it other then a few words of advice which they are obviously not bothered by. Can't local councillors go and offer to work with the families involved.
