Well folks its carnival time go and enjoy,. it takes a lot of effort by a few people to put this event on also helps the local economy
the pram race was great and a lot of fun
Hope this week gets a positive respose from locals

I love the carnival it means just one more week and most of the grockles go back where they belong

These are the same people who keep your outdated little town going with the money they bring in - get real pet

We like our outdated little town I suppose you come to get away from your HIGH CRIME RATE and to watch the FREE AIR SHOW AND CARNIVAL bet you cant do that in your twentieth century town

I think carnival week is great my kids who live up north come down for it cause they dont have processions up there.
The pram race carnival air display raft race what a week enjoyed by locals and visitors alike.
If it wasnt for the visitors Dawlish wouldnt be able to put on these events
good fun is had by all

the arnival is only put on for the visitors what goes on in the winter when its only us locals nothing

Olive. The answer is nothing.
As you see from the website. many people here do not support local shops and dont have a good word the place. they are nasty to holidaymakers yet want the work they provide.
With no visitors it is dead, as from October. Dawlish people seem to live for the pub and that is all they do.
How people living here dare go to other parts of the country I do not know, given what they say.
Oh for decent people, if people in Dawlish hate the place so much they should leave.
Look at the 'Whats on' column that says it all.
This all started on the Carnival and enjoyment.. always has to turn nasty.

how poor was the carnival this year. gets worse

Some people liked it and many others didn't. What was it all about, was there a theme to it? There were many law breaking activities that were ignored and others that weren't. Luck of the draw I guess.
