A 26 METRE bridge has been successfully lifted into position as part of a multi-million road project in Dawlish. Specialist contractors were brought in for the operation which required a 500 ton crane to lift the bridge.

Speaking of bridges whats the latest in the petiton to replace the bridge in the manor?? If teignbridge can spend alledgely £89k doing up the manor then they can surely afford a new wooden bridge or is a caae of just letting that issue drop? Remember this folks when voting in mays local election
The only local election being held this May which the citizens of Dawlish will be able to vote in is that for the Police and Crime Commissioner for Devon and Cornwall Police.
There are no local elections taking place in Dawlish for the town council (takes place every four years last one took place last year in 2023), or for Teignbridge District Council (again takes place every four years and again took place last year in 2023), or for Devon County Council (takes place every four years. Last one took place in 2021).
We will have a General Election before any more local elections in Dawlish.
Ok got it wrong there but regarding thecrime commisioner election anyo e agree theyare a waste of time and money and resources should be given back to police? Hernandz always wanting more money for bobbies on the beat so scrap ber role and all the other costs of her office and divert to police.
@1263 We might have had a Town Council by-election after J Petherick resigned, but as 10 or more electors didn't write to the Council submitting statutory requests for an election they'll just co-opt somebody. That's if anyone is actually interested in local politics, has any confidence in it and wants to serve on a Council dominated by Wrigley.
Crime Commissioners are a waste of time, money and resources. The Police is a corrutpted instititution that's way beyond reform, just look at all the cases of institutionalized racism, sexism, misogeny, homophobia and rape.
