The tiny village is often overlooked as tourists make a beeline for nearby Dawlish but Starcross has plenty to take in. Just 15 minutes by train from Exeter or easily accessible by bike, you can stop off at one of their two cosy pubs, stop for a coffee at the ever-popular Teign Bean coffee van, catch a ferry to Exmouth or just sit and watch the world go by.
