Dawlish Celebrates Carnival

We still don't quite exactly know what we can do in carnival week but we are still planning fun.... In the meantime the theme of this year's carnival is SUPERHEROES!
We are not having a parade this year BUT we are having a DOORSTEP PARADE for one year only! We are asking everyone to decorate their home or garden or business premises in the theme of superheroes and then enter our doorstep carnival competition. (The display must be visible to be seen from the road outside the house, garden, school or business). There will be an entry form and the committee will judge the entries over carnival week (14th to 20th August).
Every place that enters can be seen by others and we hope it will show how much Carnival is loved by Dawlish and how much carnival spirit there is in the town despite Covid! So come on get your thinking caps on....there's time to plan..... and prizes and rosettes to be won! We''d love a whole road to take up the challenge!
