What was causing it? Sounded like something was being rhythmically bashed against something else by waves. 

It was from work on the sea wall i could feel the vibrations through the floor and walls.

I am very close but can only feel  vibration i think the triple glazing stops the noice but hey a little inconvenience for long term gain.

Oh aren't you the lucky rich person being able to afford triple glazing! Sod the rest of us!! You're all heart!!

What if leatash is in a rental where the landlord had installed 3x glazing. Or maybe the house was bought with it installed?

I thought it was my next door neighbours, thank god for that.

I've noticed that most of the flats in the block opposite to the railway station look empty, have people been relocated?  I wouldn't be surprised as the noise when they are drilling is horrendous and anyone living there would not get any sleep or any respite during the day.

Maybe they have been moved out temporarily  while they have  3x glazing installed.  

I live within spitting distance of the works that are going on and i honestly haven't heard a thing not one sound, my neighbour hasn't heard anything either just a slight vibration.

I live on Riviera Terrace right by where the wall  was washed away. Evacuated for a month then weeks of work 24/7 outside our window. Didnt keep us awake at all!

No, I can't hear a thing either, don't know what all the fuss is about!!
